Natural Hair Loss Remedies for Men: Try Using Lemon!

Aside from giving your tea or salad a healthy twist, lemons also make for a good hair care ingredient. They are teeming with antioxidants which help relieve a number of body issues. And if you are looking for a natural treatment for your hair and scalp problems, lemons just might prove to be a very effective solution.

LEMON FOR DULL HAIR

If you are dealing with hair dullness, lemons can help you get back that color vibrancy. All you need to do is to soak it in lemon juice. It can give the hair a more beautiful hue, particularly light colored or blonde hair. By applying it all over the hair while basking under the sun can intensify its effects.

LEMON AND DANDRUFF

Dandruff is also a common hair and scalp problem that if left untreated might eventually lead to hair loss. It can either be caused by weather conditions, hormonal imbalance and stress. This can be treated by using lemon oil that is mixed with curd. Apply this all over the head while massaging it thoroughly on your scalp.

You can also take two cups of water with two tablespoons of coconut oil, and add in the juice of one fresh lemon. This mixture can be a good hair rinse for dandruff. After it has been applied thoroughly on your hair, wring out the excess and then wrap it under a shower cap or a handkerchief. Leave this on overnight and wash it the next morning as you would do in your regular routine. Repeat this twice a month for best results.

Even just rubbing a lemon peel on your scalp and then rinsing it with a lemon juice and water mixture can help relieve dandruff. And to avoid reoccurrence  you can soak your comb or brush in an equal parts of fresh lemon juice and water to sanitize them.

LEMON MASSAGE FOR CLEAN SCALP

With the sanitizing effect of lemon, you can cleanse the scalp by rubbing a sliced lemon over it. It provides a citrusy and refreshing feel while giving your hair softness, shine and body.

LEMON FOR HAIR GROWTH

You can combat hair loss and promote hair growth through either of these lemon concoctions.

a. Aloe Vera and Lemon

Prepare three parts of the Aloe Vera gel or juice and mix it with one part freshly squeezed lemon juice. Rub this mixture all over your hair and scalp and let it sit for ten to fifteen minutes. Wash this using a mild shampoo. Repeat this 3-4 times a week and the combined effects of the Aloe Vera and lemon can give your hair a healthy boost of strength and moisture thus avoiding hair loss.

b. Lemon juice and Olive oil

Take two tablespoons of olive oil and mix it with a teaspoon of lemon juice. This is not a salad dressing but it is actually hair massage oil that promotes the growth of a thicker mane.

c. Lemon and Coconut oil

A teaspoon of lemon juice mixed with two teaspoons of coconut oil is also hair massage oil. Leave this on for at least an hour after massaging it over your hair and head. This stimulates hair growth while it also helps in stopping the progression of hair loss.
